\nParle-nous un peu de ton parcours avant le Wagon ?

<\/strong>J\u2019ai fait un Bachelor en h\u00f4tellerie \u00e0 l\u2019EHL \u00e0 Lausanne, puis j\u2019ai travaill\u00e9 dans le secteur h\u00f4telier pendant quelques ann\u00e9es, pour un grand groupe en tant que \"Revenue Manager\".<\/strong> J\u2019avais pour mission d\u2019optimiser les revenus d'abord pour un portefeuille d\u2019h\u00f4tel en Suisse puis de fil en aiguille j\u2019ai fini avec la gestion d\u2019une \u00e9quipe couvrant un parc allant du Royaume-Uni \u00e0 la Pologne. C\u2019\u00e9tait un job passionnant et super complet alliant analyse de donn\u00e9es, de tendances, de recherches de march\u00e9, de n\u00e9gociations internes et externes et surtout, le plus passionnant, de strat\u00e9gies court\/moyen\/long terme.

Quels \u00e9taient tes objectifs lorsque tu as d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de suivre Le Wagon ?

Avec le Covid, ma passion pour l'h\u00f4tellerie est un peu pass\u00e9e et surtout j\u2019avais du mal \u00e0 trouver du sens dans mon quotidien. J\u2019ai donc cherch\u00e9 \u00e0 me reconvertir en visant un domaine qui m\u2019avait toujours attir\u00e9 \u00e0 savoir la Tech. Je voulais aussi go\u00fbter \u00e0 de plus petites structures dans lesquelles j'esp\u00e9rais pouvoir avoir un impact plus important.
Mais le hic, c'est que malgr\u00e9 la solide exp\u00e9rience que j\u2019avais acquise chez Accor, la transition d\u2019un groupe h\u00f4telier \u00e0 une une boite de tech \u00e9tait un peu compliqu\u00e9e \u00e0 justifier aupr\u00e8s des recruteurs. C\u2019est l\u00e0 que j'ai eu l\u2019 id\u00e9e de suivre Le Wagon !<\/strong> J'ai appris \u00e0 coder mais surtout d\u00e9couvert le monde du d\u00e9veloppement et je me suis ouvert des portes vers des jobs qui m'attiraient en mettant en avant un profil \u201cbusiness meets tech\u201d.

Et alors pourquoi Le Wagon ?

Des potes m'ont parl\u00e9 du Wagon et j\u2019ai d\u00e9couvert qu\u2019il y avait une antenne \u00e0 Lausanne. J'ai vu \u00e7a comme un signe du destin. J'avais d\u00e9j\u00e0 pas mal d\u2019exp\u00e9rience avec des tableurs et j'avais m\u00eame bidouill\u00e9 du code VBA sur Excel. Mais honn\u00eatement, j'\u00e9tais curieux de d\u00e9couvrir les coulisses du code, des d\u00e9veloppements web et des applications. Apr\u00e8s avoir check\u00e9 quelques options possibles, j'ai choisi Le Wagon parce que je voulais acqu\u00e9rir des comp\u00e9tences techniques en d\u00e9veloppement et en programmation. Et puis, l'approche pratique et immersive du Wagon m'a vraiment convaincu. <\/strong>J'ai aussi \u00e9t\u00e9 attir\u00e9 par la communaut\u00e9 active de pros de la tech. En m\u00eame temps, coder en sirotant en bi\u00e8re en compagnie de d\u00e9veloppeurs en herbe c\u2019est un peu le r\u00eave non ?

D\u2019une formation de Web Dev \u00e0 Head of Product comment as-tu fait ?

C\u2019est un m\u00e9lange d\u2019une solide exp\u00e9rience business pour une grande entreprise o\u00f9 j'\u00e9tais responsable d'enjeux strat\u00e9giques sur un parc g\u00e9n\u00e9rant plusieurs centaines de millions de CA et une \u00e9quipe de 7 personnes. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 \u00e7a, j'ai acquis des comp\u00e9tences solides en leadership et en strat\u00e9gie qui ont fa\u00e7onn\u00e9 mon \u201cskillset\u201d professionnel, qui n'avait rien \u00e0 voir avec le d\u00e9veloppement Web. Ensuite, au cours de ma formation au Wagon \u00e0 Lausanne, j\u2019ai acquis des comp\u00e9tences Tech. L\u2019alliance de ces deux facettes a \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s appr\u00e9ci\u00e9e par mon entreprise actuelle. Elles m'ont permis de comprendre le fonctionnement de l\u2019ensemble des \u00e9quipes, les diff\u00e9rentes m\u00e9thodes de travail et langages et de g\u00e9rer des projets avec succ\u00e8s. Finalement, j'ai adopt\u00e9 une approche ax\u00e9e sur mes comp\u00e9tences de base avec celles acquises en d\u00e9veloppement Web. Cette combinaison unique m'a permis de naviguer sereinement dans des environnements professionnels complexes <\/strong>et vari\u00e9s, en utilisant une approche de gestion et de communication adapt\u00e9e aux besoins de chaque situation. Aujourd\u2019hui, je suis vraiment \u00e9panoui \u00e0 mon poste de Head of Product chez Technis. C\u2019est une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Lausannoise \u00e0 taille humaine qui correspond parfaitement \u00e0 l'id\u00e9e que je me faisais du monde de la tech.

Quels aspects de ta formation au Wagon t'ont laiss\u00e9 une impression durable et qu'est-ce que tu as appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 particuli\u00e8rement ?
<\/strong>
Au Wagon, on apprend vite, c'est hallucinant ! En seulement deux mois, on a r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 faire des trucs vraiment chouettes, peu importe d'o\u00f9 on vient. Si t'es motiv\u00e9 et que t'as la niaque, tu as toutes les chances de r\u00e9ussir. Mais ce qui est vraiment g\u00e9nial ici, c'est l'esprit de communaut\u00e9. On se sent comme \u00e0 la maison, on boit des caf\u00e9s, on travaille dur, on fait des pauses, on rigole. La diff\u00e9rence qui m\u2019a le plus frapp\u00e9e c\u2019est le partage de connaissance.<\/strong> Dans le monde des grandes bo\u00eetes, ton savoir-faire est ta valeur ajout\u00e9e, donc tu ne la mets pas en pratique mais tu ne la partage pas ou peu. Ici, c'est tout le contraire, si tu n\u2019es pas dans le partage et l\u2019\u00e9change constant tu es fichu. J'ai ador\u00e9 cette mentalit\u00e9, \u00e7a m'a transform\u00e9 et \u00e7a a chang\u00e9 ma fa\u00e7on de travailler maintenant. Pour reprendre une citation certe un peu bateau mais tellement vraie: seul on va plus vite, mais ensemble on va plus loin !

Peux-tu me dire en combien de temps, tu as trouv\u00e9 un emploi apr\u00e8s la fin de ta formation ?
<\/strong>
J'ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 chercher un emploi pendant la formation. Ce qui m'a pris du temps c\u2019est me positionner et trouver le bon discours. Difficile de trouver un job quand tu t\u00e2tonnes entre plusieurs directions. J'ai donc mis environ 2 \u00e0 3 mois pour trouver un emploi.<\/strong> En Suisse, la recherche d'emploi implique de rencontrer diff\u00e9rentes personnes qui peuvent te donner des conseils sur comment t'am\u00e9liorer, de faire du r\u00e9seautage, participer \u00e0 des \u00e9v\u00e9nements et un jour, souvent quand tu ne t\u2019y attends pas, une opportunit\u00e9 se concr\u00e9tise.

Qu'est-ce qui a chang\u00e9 dans ta vie avec tes nouvelles comp\u00e9tences ?
<\/strong>
Depuis que j'ai int\u00e9gr\u00e9 Le Wagon, ma vie professionnelle a radicalement chang\u00e9. J'ai appris les bases du codage, ce qui m'a permis de mieux comprendre les enjeux d'une \u00e9quipe technique. Retourner sur les bancs de l\u2019\u00e9cole\u201d \u00e7a r\u00e9veille aussi \u00e0 nouveau l\u2019envie d\u2019apprendre de mani\u00e8re un peu acad\u00e9mique et ce mindset m\u2019a encourag\u00e9 \u00e0 poursuivre d\u2019autres formations dans la foul\u00e9e. Le Wagon m'a permis d'acqu\u00e9rir des comp\u00e9tences et des codes tech et \u00e0 de pr\u00e9senter mieux mon parcours, afin de trouver un emploi qui me convienne vraiment.<\/strong>

Je signe demain pour refaire le Wagon. Cette formation m'a donn\u00e9 des fondations en b\u00e9ton arm\u00e9 et continue de me faire d\u00e9couvrir des trucs passionnants chaque jour. Maintenant, je suis capable de chercher et d'apprendre par moi-m\u00eame dans ce domaine en perp\u00e9tuelle \u00e9volution.
