\n Trabalho remoto n\u00e3o \u00e9 nada novo. Faz anos que o escrit\u00f3rio \u00e9 criticado como o \u00faltimo lugar em que as pessoas, de fato, conseguem entregar algum trabalho (assista a esse \n TED talk<\/a> se quiser detalhes e dar umas boas risadas), enquanto v\u00e1rias startups famosas como Zapier, Olark e Hotjar t\u00eam provado que uma for\u00e7a de trabalho remota por \u201cdefault\u201d n\u00e3o impede um crescimento fora da curva. A grande novidade \u00e9 que a quarentena do Covid-19 obrigou todas as empresas do mundo a experimentar o trabalho 100% remoto por alguns meses. E muitas empresas gostaram do que descobriram.\n<\/div>\n

\n<\/div>\n
\n Mark Zuckerberg, numa \n entrevista<\/a> recente, declarou que, daqui a 10 anos, ele pretende ter metade de seus funcion\u00e1rios trabalhando de casa e, desde j\u00e1, todas as posi\u00e7\u00f5es abertas da empresa oferecem a op\u00e7\u00e3o \u201cremoto\u201d aos candidatos interessados. Google, Twitter, Square, Box, Shopify Zillow, Upwork e Coinbase tamb\u00e9m declararam ambi\u00e7\u00f5es similares sobre o trabalho remoto. Ou seja: alguma coisa mudou.\n<\/div>\n

\n O Facebook tamb\u00e9m declarou que todos os seus funcion\u00e1rios poderiam se mudar para qualquer lugar dos Estados Unidos, mas que a remunera\u00e7\u00e3o seria adaptada \u00e0s condi\u00e7\u00f5es do custo de vida local. Eu duvido que muitos fa\u00e7am a troca.\n<\/div>\n
\n Mas o que realmente interessa \u00e9 quanto tempo os recrutadores v\u00e3o levar para perceber que, uma vez aberta a \u201ccaixa de Pandora\u201d do trabalho remoto, voc\u00ea literalmente poder\u00e1 recrutar qualquer pessoa de qualquer lugar do mundo\u2026\n<\/div>\n

\n E \u00e9 exatamente a\u00ed onde, na minha opini\u00e3o, os desenvolvedores da Am\u00e9rica Latina t\u00eam uma oportunidade incr\u00edvel de se destacar como uma op\u00e7\u00e3o vi\u00e1vel de recrutamento para as empresas \n tech<\/em> americanas. N\u00e3o se trata do cl\u00e1ssico \u201coutsourcing\u201d ou \u201cnearshoring\u201d, mas sim de membros integrais dos times, se conectando todos os dias (s\u00f3 que de uma dist\u00e2ncia um pouco maior).\n<\/div>\n

Qualidade dos <\/strong>coders<\/em><\/strong> da Am\u00e9rica Latina: <\/strong>comunidades de desenvolvedores dos tech hubs<\/em> da regi\u00e3o de Buenos Aires, Belo Horizonte, Medellin, M\u00e9xico e muitos outros t\u00eam provado h\u00e1 anos que s\u00e3o fontes de talentos e atra\u00eddo cada vez mais a aten\u00e7\u00e3o de empresas globais;<\/li>\n 
  3. O gap em educa\u00e7\u00e3o da Am\u00e9rica Latina est\u00e1 sendo atacado por escolas internacionais:<\/strong> desde 2016, v\u00e1rios atores globais da educa\u00e7\u00e3o tech<\/em> instalaram presen\u00e7a no continente, desde Bootcamps de programa\u00e7\u00e3o<\/a> (como Le Wagon ou Ironhack) at\u00e9 o novo modo \u201csem professor\u201d de alguns programas de ensino de programa\u00e7\u00e3o (como 42 ou Holberton) e, claro, todos os cursos online, atrav\u00e9s das plataformas Udemy ou Udacity. E isso nem leva em considera\u00e7\u00e3o os atores locais, alguns tendo levantado fundos significativos com Venture Capital para atacar o mesmo problema, como Digital House ou Trybe.<\/li>\n 
  4. Vantagens culturais, idiom\u00e1ticas e de fuso hor\u00e1rio. Como voc\u00ea j\u00e1 certamente reparou, tem a palavra \u201cAm\u00e9rica\u201d em \u201cAm\u00e9rica Latina\u201d... E se \u00e9 verdade que, historicamente, o dom\u00ednio do ingl\u00eas era um problema, um progresso importante tem acontecido e uma por\u00e7\u00e3o maior de americanos falando espanhol nos EUA ajudou muito a conectar as regi\u00f5es.

    \n Mas, agora, parece que as \u00faltimas condi\u00e7\u00f5es necess\u00e1rias tamb\u00e9m t\u00eam sido preenchidas:\n<\/div>\n

O entendimento geral que trabalho remoto n\u00e3o apenas \u00e9 trabalho, como tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 um trabalho que pode ser muito produtivo, <\/strong>j\u00e1 que evita as distra\u00e7\u00f5es do \u201cOpen Space\u201d e a praga das reuni\u00f5es intermin\u00e1veis (eu sei que as reuni\u00f5es no Zoom existem, mas trabalhar em outra coisa sem ser pego \u00e9 bem mais f\u00e1cil num Zoom do que numa sala);<\/li>\n 
    2. A crise chegando e a necessidade de reduzir custos far\u00e1 com que trabalhadores com sal\u00e1rios mais em conta de regi\u00f5es remotas - que n\u00e3o s\u00e3o s\u00f3 aut\u00f4nomos e t\u00e3o bons quanto, e por um ter\u00e7o do custo no c\u00e2mbio USD atual - ser\u00e3o uma proposta dif\u00edcil de resistir para qualquer CEO;<\/li>\n 
    3. A nova dificuldade que a administra\u00e7\u00e3o Trump imp\u00f4s sobre os vistos de talentos tech<\/em>. A pol\u00edtica \u201cHire American First\u201d de Trump n\u00e3o surpreendeu e segue a agenda make America great again<\/em> dele, mas tem limitado a grande solu\u00e7\u00e3o que o Vale do Sil\u00edcio tinha para resolver a escassez de talentos digitais: imigra\u00e7\u00e3o dos melhores c\u00e9rebros do mundo. Aprova\u00e7\u00f5es de visto t\u00eam sido cada vez mais dif\u00edceis desde antes do Covid-19 (fonte<\/a>) e \u00e9 improv\u00e1vel que Apple ou Google aceitem recrutar num \u201cpool\u201d restrito de talentos locais em vez de abrir a op\u00e7\u00e3o de recrutar em qualquer local do planeta, sem sequer precisar da burocracia de um visto.

      No Le Wagon, n\u00f3s recentemente convidamos para nosso podcast o\n        Felipe Couto<\/a>, fundador da\n  Vulpi<\/a>, uma plataforma de recrutamento de desenvolvedores. Felipe nos contou que o Covid-19 fez com que eles operassem um \u201c\n pivot<\/a>\u201d comercial para focar em empresas internacionais, oferecendo oportunidades remotas e descrevendo o quanto empresas americanas amavam os desenvolvedores \u201cmade in Brazil\u201d (ou\u00e7a a \n conversa<\/a>). E como eu precisava de um bom exemplo para meu artigo, descobri hoje de manh\u00e3 que um ex-aluno do Le Wagon (um antigo advogado que agora \u00e9 desenvolvedor), que havia perdido o emprego local, teve que esperar apenas tr\u00eas semanas para ser contratado de forma remota por uma startup nos EUA. Ele era (e ainda \u00e9) um desenvolvedor j\u00fanior, ainda nenhum \n superstar<\/em> (por enquanto\u2026).\n

      \n As pessoas que, hoje, amam trabalhar de casa precisam entender que, se no passado concorriam em vagas de emprego com gente da mesma cidade, ou no m\u00e1ximo com aqueles a fim de se mudar para l\u00e1, ter\u00e3o agora que competir em um n\u00edvel global - e \n ganhar as habilidades do futuro<\/a> ser\u00e1 vital para ficar \u00e0 frente na corrida. Novas formas de conex\u00f5es ser\u00e3o criadas, n\u00e3o ser\u00e1 um mundo menos conectado socialmente (especialmente na Am\u00e9rica Latina, onde rela\u00e7\u00f5es s\u00e3o t\u00e3o importantes) mas sim diferentes tipos de conex\u00f5es. Trabalhar no meio de amigos ou fam\u00edlia, ter maior liberdade no seu estilo de vida e menos tempo perdido em condu\u00e7\u00e3o e tr\u00e2nsito... eu sou otimista. E voc\u00ea?\n<\/div>\n
