\n Semana passada eu me demiti do Github. \n

\n Eu abri m\u00e3o da estabilidade no emprego (embora s\u00f3 Deus saiba o que isso significa hoje em dia), colegas excepcionais e a emo\u00e7\u00e3o de trabalhar para uma marca admirada dentro da comunidade de desenvolvedores - tudo por um futuro incerto de trabalhar para mim mesmo, construindo startups.\n

\n Eu estava ganhando um sal\u00e1rio de seis d\u00edgitos por ano\n mais<\/em> a\u00e7\u00f5es e b\u00f4nus, e havia recebido v\u00e1rias promo\u00e7\u00f5es nos \u00faltimos dois anos.\n
\n

\n Eu subi de cargo rapidamente na organiza\u00e7\u00e3o de Suporte no GitHub - passando de um colaborador individual (engenheiro de suporte) em 2016 para uma fun\u00e7\u00e3o de gerente em 2018 e, finalmente, uma posi\u00e7\u00e3o de diretor no in\u00edcio de 2020.\n

Porque sair?<\/h3>\n
\n N\u00e3o sa\u00ed do GitHub porque \n n\u00e3o gostava<\/em> do trabalho ou da empresa.\n
\n

\n Na verdade, \u00e9 um lugar inspirador para trabalhar e se voc\u00ea tiver a chance de trabalhar l\u00e1, eu recomendo que voc\u00ea aproveite a oportunidade.\n

\n Trabalhei com as pessoas mais inteligentes, gentis e emp\u00e1ticas, em uma empresa que est\u00e1 ajudando a construir o futuro. Eu n\u00e3o me arrependo de jeito nenhum.\n

\n Ent\u00e3o, por que deixar tudo isso?\n

\n Meu cargo no GitHub envolvia liderar, direcionar, motivar e gerenciar os objetivos da empresa (j\u00e1 ouviu falar de \n OKRs<\/a>? \n

Gerenciar pessoas \u00e9 \u00f3timo e gosto de pensar que sou um gerente e l\u00edder decente. Eu tive sucesso fazendo esse trabalho e adorei ajudar outros Hubbers a crescer e subir de n\u00edvel em suas carreiras.\n
\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n Mas l\u00e1 no fundo, eu sentia uma coceira. Uma coceira que eu simplesmente n\u00e3o conseguia co\u00e7ar.\n

\n Em vez disso, voc\u00ea deveria tentar a abordagem recomendada de construir algo pequeno no seu tempo livre (se isso for algo que seu contrato de trabalho atual permitir) que gere receita.
