You want to move into data, AI, or tech — or deepen the skills you already have. But you also have a full-time job that you want or need to keep.

The full-time format is intense by design: nine weeks, fully immersive, built for people who want to go all in at once. The part-time format is built for everyone else — those who want the same depth and outcomes, on a schedule that fits around their professional life.

Who is the part-time bootcamp for?

Part-time students at Le Wagon Canada are, for the most part, working professionals. Some want to grow within their current role — adding technical skills to an existing career in supply chain, marketing, finance, or operations. Others are preparing a full career change and want to build solid foundations while staying active professionally.

What they share: a clear goal and the drive to pursue it while keeping their current commitments.

On campus, online, or both?

The part-time bootcamp runs in a hybrid format. Weekday evening sessions are held online — no commute after a full workday. Saturday sessions are the longer, more intensive day, with students joining on campus in Montreal and others attending virtually.

Wherever you’re learning from, everyone has access to the same experience through Le Wagon’s virtual campus — a shared online space where you can move between rooms, sit next to classmates, and interact with teachers as you would in person. Learn more about the virtual campus →

Between sessions, you work independently: lectures to watch, flashcards, and exercises.

Same curriculum as full-time — at your own pace

The part-time bootcamp covers exactly the same content as the full-time version. The same curriculum, the same hands-on projects, the same final Demo Day. The difference is the pace.

Depending on the program, you’ll cover 200 or 400 hours of content spread across three to six months. In total, expect around 16 hours of learning per week, including live sessions. The time between sessions gives you space to revisit concepts, consolidate what you’ve practiced, and start applying the material in your actual work context.

“The rhythm is intense, but knowing I’m going to code in the evening at Le Wagon helps me get through the day. Part-time is more flexible because you have extra time to go deeper in the concepts between sessions.”

A teaching team and community, not a solo experience

Each cohort progresses together throughout the course. Pair programming sessions mean you’re never solving problems alone. Teachers and teaching assistants are present during every live session. A dedicated Slack channel keeps the conversation going between classes.

“The program was so engaging and motivating that I found myself eager to dive back into it with my classmates, even on Saturday mornings.”

The support continues after graduation too. Le Wagon’s career services include one-on-one coaching, resume and portfolio reviews, mock interviews, networking events, and access to a global alumni community. What you can realistically achieve

Grow in your current role. Combining your existing domain expertise with newly acquired technical skills makes you a stronger, more versatile professional — and opens doors that weren’t available before.

Morgane was an ex-Supply Chain Analyst at Pratt & Whitney Canada when she enrolled in the Data Science & AI bootcamp part-time. Throughout the course, she could immediately apply what she was learning to her work. After graduating, she led advanced analytics projects independently within her team and expanded her technical responsibilities.

“Being able to apply skills immediately with real company scenario projects, ideally in collaboration, to learn how to lead team projects.”

Make a career move. For others, the part-time format is how they build a way into a new field — while keeping their income and stability during the transition.

Paul completed the Data Science & AI bootcamp part-time while working full-time as a translator. Before he even finished the course, he was already proposing AI solutions to his employer.

“Working full-time while studying can be exhausting. Fortunately, I enjoyed my classes, so this experience was less stressful than I had imagined.”

Which programs are available part-time?

All four of Le Wagon Canada’s intensive bootcamps are available part-time, online or hybrid in Montreal:

  • AI Software Development — Build web applications and digital products from scratch. Beginner-friendly.
  • Data Analytics — Learn to collect, clean, and visualize data to support business decisions. Beginner-friendly.
  • Data Science & AI — Master Python, machine learning, and AI modeling. Requires some technical foundation.
  • Data Engineering — Build the data pipelines that power analytics and AI systems. For more experienced technical profiles.

Flexible payment options

The part-time format already reduces financial pressure — you keep your salary throughout the course. But there are also several ways to spread or reduce the cost further:

  • Installment plans with 0% interest, up to 12 months
  • Low-interest student loans (Caisse Desjardins, Windmill Microlending for skilled immigrants)
  • Scholarships, up to 50% off tuition (Conditions apply)
  • Company financing: many employers have training budgets — the part-time format makes the case easier to make. Learn how to approach the conversation with your employer →
  • Tuition fees are tax-deductible if you work and pay taxes in Canada

While a few evenings and Saturdays are no longer fully free, that’s also what makes it work — the structure, the cohort, the support from the teaching team, the clear weekly rhythm. That’s a lot harder to replicate when you’re learning on your own.
