We spoke with graduates from the first batch about what motivated them to join and how they’re already applying their new skills.
Gilles, AI Product Builder alumni
Gilles is currently Head of Data & Analytics at a major French pharmaceutical company, with more than 25 years of experience in data and analytics. He also finished Le Wagon’s Data Engineering bootcamp.
I wanted to bridge the gap between strong data and engineering foundations and the ability to rapidly turn ideas into fully functional, end-user products.
The experience genuinely exceeded my expectations. What impressed me most was the speed at which we were able to move from an idea to a working product. In just one week, both I and the other participants built solutions that I would previously have expected to take weeks or even months to develop.
I put these new skills into practice almost immediately. As an experiment, I rebuilt in just a few hours much of the functionality that had taken me months to develop when I launched my social-listening start-up, Temiseo, back in 2016.
A few days later, when starting a new role, I was already applying the same approach professionally. I built a fully functional web application to simplify an existing workflow for colleagues, demonstrating how quickly AI-enabled development can turn a business need into a usable solution.
Beyond building products myself, I have also started sharing these capabilities with colleagues and friends. I have helped people with little or no development experience build AI-powered web applications they would previously have considered out of reach. One of them went on to create an entire bike-rental website.
What I found particularly valuable about the course is that, even with that experience, it fundamentally changed my perception of what can now be built, by whom, and at what speed.
Joni, AI Product Builder alumni
Joni is a Senior Experience Architect at VELUX, helping organisations to optimise end-to-end customer experiences, products, and services. She has a background in Human-Computer Interaction.
I decided to join after reviewing the syllabus and loved the idea of learning the entire end-to-end process, including understanding RAG and building backends. As a strategic designer, the ability to ship products independently without relying on a developer was particularly exciting.
The instructor and teaching assistants were amazing. I also really enjoyed collaborating with my project buddies and learning from their background experiences.
With a clearer understanding of how backends work, I can communicate much more effectively with my technical colleagues. I can speak their language, understand their constraints better, and ask more insightful questions.
The 40-hour, full-time course will take you through the complete AI product-building process.
The course is hands-on, with around 80% of the time dedicated to practical work. You’ll build a few projects throughout the week, work with a project buddy and get support from instructors and teaching assistants.

Day 1: Build AI agents and workflows with low code
You’ll learn to leverage low-code AI development platforms to assemble workflows and agents in hours and to design robust RAG architectures, including vector embeddings, context management, and connecting AI to external data sources and APIs.

Day 2: App deployment
With your AI workflow ready, youʼll learn to integrate them into user-facing applications using visual app builders.

Day 3: AI-Assisted and Vibe Coding
You’ll learn how to accelerate development using effective prompting strategies for code generation, understand when to use detailed product requirements document vs iterative development, and leverage Model Context Protocol MCP.

Day 4: AI product strategy
You’ll learn to frame AI products strategically : frame a problem, define KPIs, select a POC-appropriate architecture, and add guardrails and tracking for sage testing.

Day 5: Build your AI product
Apply your newly acquired knowledge to real-world scenarios. The day ends with your product pitch, leaving you with a professional pitch deck, a demo video, and a portfolio piece that proves you can ship AI-powered products.

Our campus in Meguro
Le Wagon Tokyo’s full-time AI Product Builder course is an intensive 5-day on-campus experience. You’ll spend Monday to Friday, 9:00–18:00 learning through hands-on workshops, practical exercises, and project work.
Each day follows the same rhythm: a 1 to 1.5-hour session with your instructor to introduce the concepts, then the rest of the day to build and apply what you’ve just learned.
You’ll work alongside a classmate throughout the day, and teaching assistants are always on hand to answer your questions and keep you moving forward. The goal: leave each day having actually built something.
All learning materials are available online whenever you need them and remain accessible after the course ends. You’ll also join a worldwide network of 30,000+ Le Wagon alumni, giving you access to a global community that lasts beyond the course.
Upon successful completion, you’ll receive an official Le Wagon course completion certificate, ready to add to your LinkedIn profile and CV.
