Changing The Game – Le Wagon UK Announces New Discount Scheme For Underrepresented Communities

Woman studying at Le Wagon Campus

Le Wagon UK is excited to announce the launch of a new £500 discount scheme for underrepresented communities. Aimed at ‘Changing The Game’ – This discount is available to individuals who identify as an ethnic minority, a woman, transgender, genderqueer, gender non-conforming, or non-binary and also for those who have not attended a higher education institution. We recognise that there are systemic barriers that can make it harder for some individuals to access the education and resources needed to succeed in the tech industry. By offering this discount, we hope to make our tech bootcamps more accessible to those who have been historically underrepresented in tech.

The Changing The Game discount scheme has been introduced alongside a variety of other programs to support diversity and inclusion, including hosting regular women in tech events, scholarships funded by partners including and ShowCode and WeShape and working with community platforms such as GirlCode. In doing so, Le Wagon UK are proud to say that 33% of full time students in the first quarter 2023 identified as female vs industry average of 28%. Additionally, 47% of our students in the first quarter of 2023 are from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds compared with the 25% industry average.

Le Wagon UK is committed to playing a key role in issues of diversity and inclusion for the benefit of our students, our staff and the wider tech industry. We are proud to take this step towards creating a more inclusive and diverse tech community.
