Who we’re working with in London, summer 2020

We've been working hard in London to encourage and support entrepreneurship and skills-based learning, through building partnerships and educational programs with companies, universities and diverse tech communities in 2020. Here's a wrap up of what we've been up to!
Summary

King's College London x King's Business School

From Oct 2019 - Sept 2020 we've been providing hands-on blended in-person & online training to students from diverse backgrounds (technical & non-technical) at King's College London within King's Business School. Totalling 900 students, we've taught 350 students in both Web Development and Data Analytics degree courses.
Summer Skills Program

Sarah O'Grady, Le Wagon Teacher:

  • "Working as a Teaching Assistant on workshops with KCL has been a great way to empower others through code. Students at KCL always ask very insightful questions and I am looking forward to also supporting them on their journey into Data Analytics."

Sahar Khan, Le Wagon Teacher & Founder:

  • "After a short intro from the KCL team we were were able to dive into the world of web development with the students. They were engaged and motivated, working through the Le Wagon Learn platform to build their very first landing page and bust the myths that code is a 'mystical box' for only massive brainiacs."

Daniel Robson, King's College London:

  • Over the last 12 months Le Wagon has trained over 500 King’s Business School students in Web Development and Data Analytics and Machine Learning. Students are excited by their courses as they offer insight into the world of tech and help them gain a competitive edge when entering the job market. They offer hands-on support during their courses which is reassuring for beginners. Their programmes have adapted seamlessly to remote delivery and they always deliver a highly professional and responsive service. King’s Business School and Le Wagon are about to enter their second year of partnership in which we plan to deliver more courses to more students.

Digital boost

In June, we started our partnership with Digital Boost which is a free volunteering platform uniting leaders of small businesses and charities with digital experts. Our Le Wagon alumni were keen to help!
Digital Boost
Founded by Founders4Schools and BCG Digital Ventures, supported by the Department for Digital Culture Media and Sport, this program aims to support the six million British small businesses and charities impacted by COVID-19 on their digitisation journey.

We are proud to be supporting Digital Boost and believe it will have significant impact on the wider small business and charity community. We're working on a number of initiatives to help promote the program, watch this space!
