Guide on Le Wagon’s Data Analytics bootcamp in Tokyo

Ever since we kicked off our Data Science bootcamp in Tokyo, we've been asked time and time again: "When are you launching a Data Analytics program?" The wait was finally over in late 2024, when we introduced a dedicated Data Analytics Bootcamp for students in Japan and APAC. To accommodate the need for flexibility, we designed it as a part-time online format, allowing students to upskill in data analytics without quitting their jobs.

What you learn during Le Wagon Data Analytics bootcamp

Although Data Analytics is the least technical program among our coding programs in Tokyo, the learning tools and experiences will help you build up your technical skillset and prepare you to start a career in a data-driven world.

In the beginning, you will be introduced to business KPIs and learn how to collect data from various sources to run common analyses (churn, funnel, CAC, AB test, time to convert, etc..)

Using APIs, automation tools, and advanced SQL, you will then learn how to extract, transform and load data on a warehouse building the right data layers.

The next step will be to communicate your results clearly using the right data visualisations and building automated dashboards with the most used BI tools like PowerBI and Looker Studio.

Lastly, you will learn how to run analysis on big data sets using Python and Jupyter notebook. Our learning modules also include foundations of Machine Learning with Python to help you collaborate with data scientists or ML engineers.

We spoke with some of our Data Analytics 2025 course students about their motivations and goals post-bootcamp.

Rainier Cantre, Data Analytics student, Philippines

I decided to enroll in the course because I have always been eager to learn data analytics and improve my data skills. Since I work extensively with data, acquiring new tools and abilities, like coding in Python and SQL, will significantly enhance my data capabilities. I’ve contemplated attending a coding bootcamp for several years, and I believe the timing couldn’t be better than now.

My main objectives are to move into a more data-focused position within my current organization. Looking ahead, if the chance arises, I aspire to become a digital nomad, as I believe there are numerous opportunities for individuals skilled in data to work remotely.

Ola Mohamed, Data Analytics student, Japan

I joined the Data Analytics course in Japan because I wanted to find a way to connect my research and passion for environmental sustainability with practical skills that allow me to make a real-world impact, while still being present for my family. Learning data analytics, especially environmental data, felt like the perfect fit. I’m particularly excited about how data   analytics   can   complement   traditional   environmental   analysis   tools. Using   data-driven   insights   alongside   conventional   methods   makes environmental solutions more effective and scalable.

After the bootcamp, I’m excited to apply my data analytics skills within the field of my studies, environmental science. I’ve always felt there’s a need for stronger connections between science and industry, and I want to help bridge that gap. My goal is to support organizations and businesses in making smarter, more sustainable decisions using data. Whether through remote projects, consulting, or freelance work, I want to build a career that allows me to contribute to sustainability while maintaining the flexibility to be there for my family.
