Study now, pay as you earn with Bcas
Learn how to finance your Le Wagon bootcamp with Bcas if you’re based in Spain or Germany. Whether you study online or on campus, this guide explains how the ISA works and how to apply.
If you’re thinking about switching careers or upskilling into tech but the cost of a bootcamp feels overwhelming, you’re definitely not alone. The good news? If you’re based in Spain or Germany, Le Wagon offers an accessible solution through our financing partner Bcas.
With Bcas, you can join the bootcamp without paying the full tuition upfront. You only pay your €500 deposit once Bcas approves your application, and then start repaying the rest once you’re earning above a certain salary threshold.
Let’s walk through how it works in simple steps.
Bcas offers an Income Share Agreement (ISA), which allows you to study now and repay later. It’s designed to make high-quality tech education accessible, even if you don’t have the savings to pay for tuition upfront.
🎓 Reduced upfront cost
Bcas pays your bootcamp tuition directly to Le Wagon, and you only pay your €500 deposit after approval. You start learning right away without a large payment blocking you.
💼 Repay only once you’re earning above a minimum threshold
Repayments only begin once you make €1,416 per month gross, or €17,000 per year gross. If your income falls below that threshold for any reason, payments pause automatically.
📊 Your repayment adjusts to your salary
You repay 13.2% of your gross monthly income. Your payment increases or decreases depending on what you earn.
🛡️ A maximum cap (you’ll never pay more than this)
Bcas sets a clear maximum amount you could ever repay. You know this number from the beginning, so there are no surprises.
⚡ Early repayment discounts
If you want to repay early (and pay less overall), you can. Bcas offers discount windows starting from 6 months post-graduation to 12 or 18 months. Optional, but nice to have.
🔄 Payments pause if you lose your job
If you stop earning above the minimum income threshold, your repayments pause until you’re back on your feet.
If you’re curious about the programs available, here is where to start.
Bcas is a great option if you want to change careers, can’t pay the full tuition upfront, or plan to study part-time while working. It also helps if you don’t have access to public funding and prefer repaying only once your new tech skills start generating income.
You’re likely a good fit if:
✅ You’re a legal resident of Spain or Germany
✅ You’re over 18 years old
✅ You have no negative credit records
You may not be eligible if:
❌ Your visa doesn’t extend 12 months beyond graduation
❌ You cannot legally work during the repayment period
❌ You have unresolved credit issues
You don’t need prior tech experience or savings. This is what Bcas looks at:
➖ Under 27? Your academic background matters more
➕ Over 27? Your professional experience carries more weight
If you’re unsure, don’t overthink it! The scoring process takes about 15 minutes and gives you a quick answer. If you’re ready to explore bootcamps in your country, you can check all available options for Spain or for Germany.
Here’s exactly how it works.
1. Apply to your chosen bootcamp
Programs available online or at local campuses across Spain and Germany include AI Software Development, Data Science & AI, Data Analytics, or Data Engineering.
2. Join your non-technical interview
A relaxed chat where we get to know you, your goals, and your timeline.
3. Complete your technical assessment
A short exercise (30–60 min) to understand your starting point and help you prepare.
4. Choose Bcas as your financing option
Once admitted, simply let your admissions advisor know.
5. Fill out the Bcas scoring form (15 min)
Bcas sends you a personal link with a simple questionnaire about residency, background, visa status and credit history. No heavy paperwork needed!
6. Get your decision (usually within 24h)
Fast approval or rejection, no long waiting period.
7. Pay your deposit (only if Bcas approves you)
You never pay your Le Wagon deposit before receiving Bcas approval.
8. Start your prepwork
Once everything’s locked in, you begin the prep modules and get ready for your bootcamp.
⚠️ Remember, you only apply to Bcas after you’re admitted to Le Wagon. You can start your Le Wagon application here.
