Despite the injury, he was able to fully immerse himself in the fast-paced, hands-on curriculum. “The teachers were incredibly passionate, and the way we applied new concepts immediately through exercises was exactly what I needed,” he adds. One of the biggest challenges he faced during the bootcamp was leading the final project. When his project was chosen, he unexpectedly found himself in the role of team leader.
“I wasn’t prepared for it, especially because our project focused on medical data, which was a completely new field for me.We had to quickly learn and collaborate, and with the support of the instructors, we delivered a project that I’m very proud of,”
Despite his initial hesitation, Frédéric’s leadership and teamwork skills, honed during his years in marketing, helped him guide his team. The final project not only challenged him but also reinforced his confidence in tackling new and unfamiliar domains.
How the Bootcamp Prepared Him for a Data Science Career
After completing the bootcamp, he felt the course gave him a concrete understanding of data science, something he couldn’t gain from his marketing experience alone. “Before the bootcamp, data science felt very abstract. Now, I have a solid grasp of what’s possible—from predictions to data modeling,” he says. The bootcamp provided him with the foundation and confidence to continue learning in the fast-evolving world of data science and AI.
