Why is Le Wagon partnering with Women in Tech?
At Le Wagon, we believe that high quality tech education should be accessible to everyone.
Unfortunately, women are still under-represented in the tech industry in 2024. Research led by Sciences Po has shown that women only make up 25% of all tech roles, and that this number is declining in some areas such as DevOps.
The top reasons for the gender gap in tech include: gender inequality in tech education, a lack of funding, lack of networking opportunities and a lack of women-friendly tech companies. It’s important to us that active investments are made for women to access tech roles. Le Wagon is committed to contributing towards a more equal future for everyone – and the work starts with our own tech courses.
What is Women in Tech?
Women in Tech is a non-profit organisation comprising a global community of over 250,000 individuals, all dedicated to closing the gender gap in tech. Through advocacy, mentoring programs, global events and networking opportunities, Women In Tech actively invest in multiple pillars to ensure women everywhere have equal opportunities to work in tech.
