Learning to code is just the beginning. For most bootcamp graduates, the real challenge starts after demo day: navigating a competitive job market, sending out applications, and landing that first tech role.

At Le Wagon, we’ve built a career support system that goes far beyond resume templates and generic job search advice. With 750+ active job seekers across Europe, we use real-time data from our partnership with Huntr—a leading job search platform—to provide personalized, proactive support at every stage of the journey.

But we don’t just track numbers. We use data to understand where students are applying, when they’re most active, and where they’re getting stuck. This allows our advisors to intervene before students hit a wall, offering targeted workshops, 1:1 coaching, and strategic guidance exactly when it’s needed.

What Huntr’s Data Reveals About Job Searching Today

The following insights come from both Huntr’s Q3 2025 Job Search Trends report, based on analysis of their entire user base across multiple industries and countries, and from Huntr dashboards on Le Wagon user base.

Platform Consolidation

Huntr’s insight: According to Huntr’s global data, LinkedIn and Indeed now control two-thirds of all job search activity across their platform. LinkedIn alone accounts for nearly half of all saved jobs. Le Wagon’s data confirms this trend: when we analyzed our own students’ activity, we found that 54.5% of tracked jobs come from LinkedIn alone.

Le Wagon’s approach: This concentration led us to create dedicated LinkedIn optimization workshops. If students are spending half their time on one platform, we need to ensure they’re using it effectively.

Quality Over Quantity

Huntr’s insight: While LinkedIn and Indeed get the most traffic, they have surprisingly low success rates—fewer than 4 out of 100 applications lead to interviews. In contrast, direct company applications (like Google’s career portal) perform much better at 11%.

Le Wagon’s approach: Platform matters, but so does strategy. Mass applications on job boards aren’t as effective as targeted, direct applications to companies you’ve researched. We teach students to balance volume with strategic, high-quality applications. Our workshops focus on company research, networking strategies, and direct outreach—not just clicking “Apply” on job boards.

Customization Pays Off

Huntr’s insight: Job seekers who tailor their resumes to match each job description are 50% more successful. They get interviews or offers 6.5% of the time, compared to only 4.3% for those using the same generic resume everywhere.

Le Wagon’s approach: We don’t just tell students to customize—we teach them how to do it at scale through:

  • CV & LinkedIn Review Workshops with unlimited access and live discussion
  • Cover Letter Workshops that teach efficient customization frameworks
  • AI-powered tools like EnhanceCV (6 months premium access for all students) to help scale efforts while maintaining authenticity

AI Adoption vs. Trust

Huntr’s insight: More than 80% of job seekers now use AI tools in their search. However, only about half (52%) actually trust AI enough to let it submit applications on their behalf. It tells us people want the efficiency AI offers, but they’re not ready to give up control completely.

Le Wagon’s approach: AI as assistant, not replacement. Students maintain control while using tools like EnhanceCV and Huntr’s AI features to work smarter. We teach them to use AI ethically and effectively—to enhance their work, not replace their voice.

Monday Momentum

Le Wagon’s data: Analysis of our students’ job search activity shows it peaks dramatically on Mondays—962 applications compared to just 217 on Sundays.

Le Wagon’s approach: We schedule most workshops Tuesday through Thursday, leaving Mondays free for applications. Students can focus their high-energy days on applying, then learn and refine their approach mid-week.

The Support System Behind the Success

These insights shape everything we do. Here’s how Le Wagon’s career support system works:

Career support doesn’t start after graduation—it starts on day one of the bootcamp. Students get Huntr access from their first week, with career workshops running parallel to technical training. And unlike programs that cut off support after 3 or 6 months, our access continues for as long as needed—truly unlimited.

Students are supported by dedicated careers advisors available on Slack, with a 24-hour response time for questions and unlimited 1:1 coaching sessions whenever they need guidance.

Real-Time Monitoring

Our advisors don’t wait for students to ask for help. They monitor job search activity through Huntr’s dashboard and can identify patterns:

  • No interviews after 50+ applications? → Likely a documents or strategy issue. Time to review their CV, LinkedIn profile, and targeting strategy.
  • Getting interviews but no offers? → Interview skills need work. Schedule mock interviews and feedback sessions.

This proactive approach means students get help before they burn out or lose motivation.

The Future of Career Support

The job market is more competitive than ever. But with the right data, tools, and support system, job seekers don’t have to navigate it alone.

At Le Wagon, we’ve built a career support infrastructure that evolves with the market. When our data showed LinkedIn’s dominance, we created LinkedIn workshops. When we saw students struggling at the 50-application mark, we built intervention systems. When AI tools emerged, we gave students premium access to EnhanceCV and taught them to use these tools ethically and effectively.

Because in 2025’s competitive tech job market, success isn’t just about learning to code. It’s about having a support system that helps you navigate every application, every interview, every setback—no matter how long it takes.
