Launched in 2024, Le Wagon Tokyo’s Data Analytics program offers a part-time, flexible format great for people who want to upskill without quitting their current job. The course spans 24 weeks and mixes live sessions with self-paced materials and real-time support.
Through the bootcamp you’ll build skills that are in high demand in today’s data-driven world, including:
Graduates can pursue roles such as Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or Data Project Manager / Consultant, positioning themselves for careers where data guides smarter business decisions.
HelloWork subsidy, officially known as the Specialized Practice Education and Training Benefits Program (専門実践教育訓練給付金), is managed by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and administered through HelloWork offices. This subsidy helps mid-career professionals upskill or reskill for the future.
In total, the Specialized Practice Education and Training Benefits Program reimburses Data Analytics program tuition fees up to 632,000 yen per year.
After the course completion, you will be reimbursed 395,000 yen. If you find a job with employment insurance support within one year after completing the course, an additional 158,000 yen will be provided.
Plus, you can get an extra 79,000 yen refund if the salary you get from their new position after the bootcamp is higher than the previous one by at least 5%.
To make things easy to understand, we’ve consolidated in a table the subsidy you can receive for each case.
| Course name | Tuition fee | Reimbursed after completion | Reimbursed if you find a job within 1 year | Reimbursed if new salary > old salary by at least 5% | Tuition fee you’ll actually pay if fully reimbursed |
| Data Analytics program | 790,000¥ | 395,000¥ | 553,000¥ | 632,000¥ | 158,000¥ |

Importantly, you don’t need to be unemployed to benefit from it – full-time employees are eligible for the subsidy too.
